Puzzle Cubes: Kamacubestra

Whoah - First major illustration project of the semester! These puzzle cubes had quite the interesting process. Initially, I wanted the illustrations to convey obscure human figures, yet the characteristics of each body would make the cubes relatable to the buyer/user. Thus, the emphasis on form, colour and small details(such as, body hair, nipples, etc.) created charismatic, lovable blobby people. KAMACUBESTRA puzzle cubes are marketed towards young adults, or generally anyone above the age of eighteen, that has a cheeky sense of humour.

Focusing on a touchy subject, like sex, required the illustrations to reflect a healthy balance between ambiguity and relatability. The nature of these cubes would cause them to appear or be sold in adult entertainment stores or novelty, gag and gift shops.
